Aluminum

Aluminum

Aluminum is the most abundant, naturally occurring metallic element in earth’s crust, comprising about 8.2% by mass. Aluminum is remarkable for its low density and ability to resist corrosion.

Bauxite and alumina represent the first two links in the value chain on the way through aluminum minerals to aluminum products.

FTX has great access to the industry's largest and highest quality bauxite reserves, which are processed first into alumina and then into aluminum by electrolysis.
